Alisha’s mother is a chronic alcoholic and beggar with an undiagnosed illness that is either a cancer or scerosis.  Alisha has 3 younger siblings still living on the streets of Kathmandu.

When Alisha first arrived here her adjustment was difficult.  It was her first experience living in anything but a hut and not around alcoholics and drug addicted beggars. Alisha didn’t at first know what to do in a healthy environment.  She is now well adjusted and excelling in school.  She is a near professional badminton player and particularly enjoys our bonfire Saturday nights under the stars.
