Bikash is 12 years old. He is the only boy in the home. His family is from the Rukum District of Western Nepal. His mother works as a serf on a farm. His father traveled to India for work and was not heard from again. He has two sisters and one brother. Before moving in with us he was living in a hostel that was shutdown due to lack of funding.

Bikash is a talented athelete, student and artist. He hopes to be an artist one day depicting the mountain and religious scenes of Nepal. Bikash is also the house chief and his humble leadership will surely benefit him and anyone he has contact with throughout his life.
