Rosy is 9 years old.  She is from Sindhuli District in Eastern Nepal.  A stronghold of the Maoists and an area of intense fighting, Rosy’s family escaped Sindhuli to Kathmandu several years ago.  Her mother sold small food items on the side of a walking path in Boudha.  Her family has now returned to Sindhuli and Rosy is very happy to stay here.

Often quiet but equally often smiling, she enjoys studying math and learning English and is quite good when she decides to speak.
