Salina is 11 years old.  She is from Sindhupalchok District in Eastern Nepal.  When she first came to OCAYHN she was living with her uncle.  We know Salina’s mother is still alive somewhere but know nothing about her father.  Her uncle sells fruit from his bicycle and lives in an adobe hut illegally on vacant government land.

Salina is the deputy chief of the house and runs the joint marvelously.  You can see that she cares greatly for everyone here and is always making efforts to improve the home and the mood of those in it.  Incredibly intelligent, Salina is a bright spot in Nepal’s future.
